In the Therapy Room
As an integrative therapist, (a therapist who uses traditional and/or holistic modalities). I specialize in anxiety, stress reduction, and improving overall well-being. Through years of practicing and studying both traditional and holistic therapies, I have seen strong benefit in both and feel excited to be able to offer them either simultaneously or separately. Common modalities I have seen to be effective include: CBT, Guided imagery, Somatic Techniques, and Mindfulness.
My Background
Previous to starting my private practice, I worked under an expressive arts therapist where I learned various therapeutic creative tools. Due to an interest in education, I completed an independent study on death, dying, and the bereavement process and have taught psychology at the college level. As result of working with many people who suffered from anxiety, low mood, and stress, I studied Mindfulness, CBT, Somatic techniques, Jungian Psychology, Psychodrama, and many other therapies in order to provide a variety of options for my clients. In June 2020, I completed Yoga Teacher training and became a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT).
